What is a Narrative NFT? How is Outcast Academy one?
What if the next Warner Bros. began as an on-chain storytelling experiment? Welcome to a classic high school story — re-imagined through community, DAO governance, and multi-format manifestation.
Choose your archetype — Jock, Nerd, Artist, Prep, Rebel — get into trouble — weekly narrative drops — and shape the school’s legacy — DAO votes on canon.
- Students will encounter colorful teachers on Discord, compete in school tournaments and, most importantly, build stories together that will be brought to life in surprising ways. First, by our team, manifesting your wildest ideas into a reality. Ultimately, by YOU, the community.
- Our goal: to transform a fictional Discord high school into a crowd-powered IP establishment and — while we’re at it — to decentralize the Hollywood model itself.
What is the role of the holder/student?
The Student Body: The Class of 2022 consists of 5,000 terribly behaved students. But unlike many NFT projects — where membership is so exclusive, only the richest of the rich can participate — our school is built different.
Every year, the Academy will open its doors to a new class of 5,000 students — without ever inflating beyond a cap of 10,000 total. How is that possible? Just as school doesn’t last forever in real life…
Graduation: …your time at our fine institution will come to an end after 4 semesters AKA 2 years. On graduation day, you will be prompted to burn your NFT in exchange for a diploma. Why? Alumni have a MUCH larger role to play.
An experience designed to END: This makes our narrative experiment particularly novel & bittersweet. The friendships you make & the stories you shape together will leave an impact on the school forever. Which brings us to…
Student Collaboration: Outcast Academy is an entertain-to-earn ecosystem. Every week, students will encounter drama & shape it for rewards & influence.
Roles: Nerds, preps, artists, jocks, rebels — all classic high school types are represented. And, with unique metadata, comes unique utility per type. Nerds may find an advantage during finals week. Jocks, more sway in the homecoming game. And so on.
Cliques: Remember The Breakfast Club — how friendships formed in the most unlikely of places & proved beneficial? Same here. The more you collaborate as a clique, the more likely you are to succeed.
Trophies: Every week, there will be juicy drama at Outcast Academy. The best responses, remixes, & original creations will be voted on by the DAO — and added to the school’s official canon. The winning storytellers will each receive a surprise 1:1 airdrop. Spoiler Alert: long-term, these rewards will be exchangeable for something shinier than a trophy.
Faculty: This school is built by a fully doxxed team of entertainment veterans and — let’s be honest — fucking legends.
Short-term:

- Launchpad to allocate resources to our top contributors & storytellers to produce more IP manifestations
